Edinburgh is a historic, cosmopolitan city with plenty to see and do - making it the perfect getaway for a luxury city break.

Route

Everything is 100% tailored to you
DAY 1

International Flight

Begin your journey with an international flight (most likely overnight) to the UK.

DAY 2

Edinburgh Arrival

Welcome to Scotland! Your private driver will meet you in the arrivals hall of Edinburgh Airport to transfer you to your hotel, the journey takes approximately 30 minutes (dependant on local traffic conditions). On arrival to your hotel, check in, relax and unpack. For those wanting to walk off the effects of the journey, we would suggest a hike up Arthur's Seat - while not for the faint hearted, the views over the city from this extinct volcano are incredible! Or visit the King's official residence in Scotland, the Palace of Holyrood House.

DAY 3

A tour of Edinburgh

Edinburgh Castle is a must-see during your time in the city; the instantly recognisable fortress dominates the skyline and offers amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Your guide can share historic tales and facts on this famous site before you visit the Crown Jewels, which are even older than their London counterparts.

After your tour of the castle, wander down the Royal Mile where your guide will show you points of interest such as the Witches Well and the Writers Museum. Learn what 'closes' and 'wynds' are before heading back to your city centre hotel.

The hidden closes of Old Town Edinburgh have been shrouded in myths and mysteries, with tales of ghosts and murders. We can arrange a tour of the Real Mary King's Close based on a one time resident, where you will explore the fascinating site and hear spooky stories.

DAY 4

St Andrews

Today your driver-guide will transfer you to the charming and historic town of St Andrews, a journey that should take only an hour. The town is known as 'The Home of Golf' with the Old Course being arguably the most famous course in the world. Walk through the medieval town's narrow cobbled streets to the oldest university in Scotland (and where William met Kate) and the beautiful cathedral ruins. This evening, once you are back in Edinburgh, head to one of our favourite pubs where if you are lucky you may see some traditional musicians and even an impromptu ceilidh (party).

DAY 5

Literary Legends

This morning, head out with your guide as you hear about the lives of world famous authors such as Walter Scott, Conan Doyle, Ian Rankin and JK Rowling whilst exploring famous set locations on this fantastic walking tour of the city they all called home. This afternoon enjoy an exclusive and deluxe afternoon tasting experience offering the perfect experience for those who like a taste of something rarely enjoyed. Edinburgh's finest Afternoon Tea in 'the place to be seen' on the Royal Mile is followed by a private 'Old & Rare' Scotch Whisky Masterclass hosted by our team of experts, and featuring a private collection of specially selected whiskies.

To end your holiday in style, enjoy a private tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia with a glass of champagne. The yacht served the King and country for over forty years and went on nearly 100 official voyages across the globe. Explore the five main decks including the King's private bedroom without the crowds. We would highly recommend staying in Leith for dinner afterwards in one of the Michelin starred restaurants. Your driver will be on hand to transfer you back to your hotel after your evening.

DAY 6

Departure

Your driver is on hand to transfer you to Edinburgh airport in good time for your International flight home, or if you have more time combine with London for a cool city combo.
