Start married life with an unforgettable 11-day adventure experiencing Kenya's most incredible wildlife up close. Staying in award-winning, seriously romantic safari camps across the country, you'll come face to face with rhinos, lions, giraffes and more on this luxurious honeymoon.

Your newlywed adventure begins in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia, tucked away at the foot of Mount Kenya. Head out on a night drive and keep your eyes peeled for nocturnal bush babies and porcupines as well as leopards and lions, before popping open a bottle of bubbles under the stars. Your next stop is the Masai Mara for more luxury lodgings and celebrity treatment. Treat yourselves to a bush breakfast or even head to a Maasai village to learn about local life before heading back to Nairobi and onwards to home.

Route

Everything is 100% tailored to you
DAY 1

Welcome to Kenya

Your African adventure begins this morning as you catch your flight from London to Nairobi, which is around eight-and-a-half-hours. You will arrive in the evening and a member of our team will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2

A Safari Adventure in Laikipia

After a good night's sleep, your driver will arrive at the hotel to chauffeur you to Wilson Domestic Airport, where you'll board the 40-minute flight to Nanyuki. You'll be met at the landing strip by your lodge guide and driven through the savannah to your new safari home on what is essentially your first game drive.

Your home for the next few nights is a luxurious eco-award-winning tented camp, set in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Tucked away at the foot of Mount Kenya, this exclusive and intimate lodge only has six tents, making it a fantastic choice for newlyweds looking to get away from it all after the madness of wedmin.

The Conservancy is home to Kenya's largest population of black rhinos, as well as vast numbers of elephants, cheetahs, lions and leopards, so you're in the right place to catch a first glimpse (or more, hopefully) of some of Africa's most famous four-legged inhabitants. Even better, when it comes to ground-breaking conservation initiatives, as well as pioneering support for the local communities, the Laikipia region leads the way.

Spend the rest of the day settling in, before watching some of the local wildlife gather at the watering hole, all from the comfort of your own private veranda, and cradling a sundowner. The perfect start to your honeymoon.

DAYS 3 to 5

Exploring Laikipia

Wake up under canvas before indulging in a delicious al fresco breakfast while working out what wildlife it was calling you heard throughout the night. With three days to discover Laikipia stretching ahead of you, no doubt you'll be itching to get out on a game drive. During the day, your guides will take you on an unforgettable journey through the African wilderness - spotting giraffes, zebras and lions up close is a feeling like no other. Venture out on a night drive for your best chance of catching a glimpse of the nocturnal residents - like the bush baby or porcupine - and this is also when predators prefer to hunt, so keep your eyes peeled for leopards and lions.

You can also venture out on a bush walk with one of the experienced guides or explore your surroundings on horseback and mountain bike. There's even the chance to take to the water on a canoe trip, where you can spot a whole host of amazing creatures as they drink and relax at the water's edge.

Take a trip out to the Morani Centre to see some of the last remaining northern white rhino on the planet, and spend time with the anti-poaching dog units, learning more about the amazing job they do.

Back at camp, the food is out of this world and nothing quite beats indulging in some top-class dining under the African stars over a bottle of champagne with your new other half.

DAY 6

Onwards to the Masai Mara

This morning it's time to say goodbye to Laikipia as you continue your honeymoon in the iconic Masai Mara. You might just be able to squeeze in one final game drive, before your driver whisks you back to the airstrip for your domestic flight to Mara North Private Conservancy. Your camp guide will be waiting for you when you land, to drive you to the camp. Tucked away in a picture-perfect valley, this classic tented camp is a little piece of heaven and a dream base for your Masai Mara safari.

There's a relaxed and friendly vibe and nothing is too much trouble for the attentive staff. It really is a special place.

Freshen up and settle into your chic canvas tent before toasting married life (again) with a crisp glass of wine on your private deck. Each of the eight luxurious tents in the camp overlook the Olare Orok stream, a prime spot for catching a glimpse of the neighbouring wildlife and resident hippo.

DAYS 7 to 9

Discovering Mara North

The Mara North Conservancy is a stunningly beautiful private wilderness, ranging across more than 60,000 acres. Visitor numbers are strictly limited to preserve the region's admirable conservation efforts, so you are guaranteed an exclusive safari experience here. Famous for its big cats, this is the place to come for some unrivalled lion-spotting. Over the next three days, explore the incredible wildlife right on your doorstep with both morning and evening game drives. Look out for the resident big cats as well as buffaloes, giraffes and elephants - just make sure you keep that camera handy. The guides here know the area inside out and will take you to the very best spots to see these wild animals up close, without ever encroaching on their space. As is the relaxed, laid-back way here, there are no time limits on the length of the game drives, so it's totally up to you how long you want to spend roaming the plains in the 4x4 - all day if you fancy, we'll even sort a picnic lunch. You can also get to know the region with guided walking safaris or a horse ride - just let our Concierge know and they'll arrange that for you too.

Treat yourself to a bush breakfast one morning - here your guide will drive you out to a special spot after the morning 4x4 game drive and set up a delicious breakfast for you to enjoy in privacy; well, apart from the curious wildlife, of course.

To get a real taste of life in the Maasai Mara, take a trip to the local village to meet some of the Maasai people and learn about their thriving community, or go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the camp, to find out how conservation efforts are being put into practice.

Back at the camp, dine together under the shade of a large euclea tree as you take in the views across the valley - no need to pinch yourself, Kenya really is as breathtaking as you dreamed.

DAY 10

Home Time

All good things have to come to an end, sadly, and today marks the last day of your romantic Kenyan safari. Don't worry, though, at least you have all those wedding presents to open when you get home. Say your farewells to the camp team before your guide transfers you back to the airstrip for your flight to Wilson Domestic Airport. You'll be met on arrival and whisked off to Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your overnight flight back to London, taking around ten-and-a-half hours. Not quite ready to head home just yet? We don't blame you, and we have plenty of options to help you extend your honeymoon. The tropical paradise of the Seychelles is just a three-hour flight from Nairobi, so why not add on this island-hopping holiday to round off your honeymoon with some relaxing beach time?

DAY 11

Arrive Home

Your flight arrives back in London in the early morning.
