Itinerary

100% customisable for you

This morning, head to the airport to begin the ultimate trip of a lifetime: your Indonesian honeymoon. After the stress and excitement of the wedding, enjoy being fast-tracked through security so you can head straight to the lounge for a pre-flight celebratory drink. With a quick stopover, your overnight flight to Java takes around 18 hours, so sit back, relax and soak up the newlywed bliss, ready to touch down the next morning.

On arrival in Yogyakarta, Java’s cultural hub, you’ll be met and privately transferred to your luxurious hotel in Borobudur, just over an hour's drive away. You’ll likely be tired after all that travelling, so check in and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, perhaps with a refreshing swim in the pool or a rejuvenating massage at the spa.

Your honeymoon properly begins today with a tour of the beautiful Borobudur Temple. Dating back to the ninth century AD, this is the largest Buddhist temple in the world and is best appreciated at sunrise, when there are few other visitors and the mist begins to lift over the surrounding Menoreh Hills.

Alongside a friendly expert guide, wander through the temple and learn about the symbolism behind its 2,600 relief panels and 504 Buddhist monuments. You’ll also have the chance to soak up the peaceful atmosphere and scenic surroundings with your other half, looking out over rolling hills and lush green fields.

When you're done exploring, head back to your hotel for a leisurely afternoon by the pool, followed by a delicious dinner and a cocktail or two. It is your honeymoon, after all…

This morning, head out to discover Yogyakarta like a local. Alongside a friendly guide, explore the city’s narrow streets, grand temples and bustling markets, stopping at street food stalls to refuel. Your guide will tailor the tour to your specific interests, so you can soak up the atmosphere without worrying about missing out.

Later, it’s time for another temple tour. Prambanan Temple is an awe-inspiring complex consisting of a whopping 240 Hindu temples dedicated to the three major gods: Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. While some of the temples have been damaged over time, the UNESCO-listed site is still fascinating, and your guide will explain its rich history as you wander through.

Come evening, celebrate your last night in Java with a traditional Indonesian meal out on the town – our clued-up Concierge is on hand to recommend our favourite foodie spots.

Say goodbye to Java today as you’re privately transferred back to Yogyakarta Airport for your one-and-a-half-hour flight to Denpasar, Bali.

Once you touch down, a member of our team will be waiting to whisk you away in a private car to Ubud, Bali’s cultural capital. The journey will take around 90 minutes, and you’ll arrive at your hotel just in time for dinner.

Today’s all about exploring Ubud, so grab your sunglasses and head out into the town. Whether you’d rather discover traditional art in local galleries, embrace your spirituality at a Balinese temple or journey into the city’s incredible natural surroundings, your guide will tailor your tour to your interests, so you can focus on quality time with your other half.

This afternoon is yours to further explore Ubud’s town centre at your own pace or return to the hotel for some R&R by the pool. After another delicious dinner, flop into bed for a good night's rest before tomorrow's early start.

Rise bright and early this morning and head out to a sunrise purification ceremony. This Balinese blessing ritual is led by a local priest, who’ll offer you customary attire before the ceremony begins. The traditional ceremony symbolises cleansing and healing, leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

This afternoon, swap cleansing for cuisine at a private cooking class. Begin at a vibrant local market, where you'll choose your ingredients and receive an introduction to Indonesia's culinary history, before putting your new knowledge to the test with a hands-on cooking class. Using family recipes, steamers perched on wood fires, stone grinders and traditional terracotta stoves, you'll (hopefully) prepare a delicious Balinese meal for you both to enjoy.

Once you’re suitably stuffed, round off the day with a walk through the surrounding rice fields and a visit to the nearby Pura Puseh Butuan Temple.

Leave Bali behind today as you’re privately transferred one-and-a-half hours back to Denpasar Airport. From here, it’s just a speedy one-hour-and-15-minute flight to the idyllic island of Komodo.

On arrival, another member of our team will whisk you to the harbour, where you’ll board a private floating yacht for a romantic four-night stay.

This afternoon, settle in, meet the crew and ease into your luxurious life on the water. Relax on deck or go for a dip in the pristine waters of Komodo National Park with the onboard dive manager before enjoying romantic sunset cocktails and dinner on board.

Spend the next few days exploring Komodo National Park together, from enjoying incredible diving and spotting the infamous Komodo dragons to dining on excellent food and relishing the wonderful hosting on board. The UNESCO-listed Komodo Islands sit right in the middle of the Indonesian archipelago, and are often regarded as one of the new seven natural wonders of the world due to their endemic species, pristine sandy beaches and coral-rich waters (sound good?).

On land, head out on leisurely treks hand-in-hand, watch the sunset from lush green hills and snap epic wildlife shots of the island's namesake – the legendary Komodo dragon – which can measure up to a whopping nine and a half feet in length.

Beneath the waves, experience some of the best diving in Indonesia - think manta rays, whale sharks, turtles, dolphins, over 260 species of coral and over 1,000 species of fish.

In between wildlife spotting, there’ll be plenty of time on board to simply relax and enjoy spending time together – just as a honeymoon should be.

This morning, wave goodbye to the water as you disembark for a private transfer back to the airport. Once you arrive, it’s time to catch your flight to Tambolaka, Sumba, which will take around four to five hours (with a quick stopover in Lombok).

On touching down in Tambolaka, you’ll be met by a private driver who’ll transfer you to your hotel. You’ll be staying here for the next four nights, so drop your bags and settle in for a relaxing afternoon by the beach. Come evening, tuck into a fresh, delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant before enjoying a nightcap under the stars.

The next four days are all about sun, sand and soaking up each other’s company in one of the most remote and luxurious places in Indonesia. Spend your days sunbathing on the secluded beach, working up a sweat on a rainforest trek, joining a yoga class or relaxing by the pool, surrounded by incredible scenery and stunning views.

Is your other half a fitness fanatic? Embrace surfing lessons on the private and world-class surf break, fishing excursions, stand-up paddleboarding and mountain biking. If you’d prefer something a little more calming, indulge in a relaxing massage, head into the town to discover ancient Marapu traditions or head out at sunset for a beachfront horse riding excursion.

In the evenings, sample delicious food, sip refreshing drinks and spend time simply listening to the sound of the ocean crashing against the beach together. Is there any better way to end the perfect honeymoon?

After 16 days of blissful Indonesian honeymooning, it's sadly time to head home. This morning, enjoy one last breakfast before being driven to Sumba Airport for the hour-long flight back to Denpasar, where you’ll connect to an international flight home.

Just like the way out, your journey will take around 18 hours with a stopover in an Asian hub city. You’ll touch down on UK soil early the next morning, feeling rested, relaxed and ready to truly begin married life.
