Ras Al Hadd

Every year, mother turtles lay their eggs in the warm sands of Ras Al Hadd. For an unforgettable experience on your Oman beach holiday, watch their babies make their journey into the sea. And even if you miss it, you’ll still be able to spot their markings in the sand. This beach is also steeped in history – during World War II, fighter planes gathered here and you can still see some evidence of them today.

Al Mughsayl

This beach is a favourite with locals and tourists alike, so you’ll likely find lots of people playing sport on the sand. It’s an impressive six miles long, making it the perfect place for a romantic evening stroll on your Oman beach holiday. And best of all – there’s a neighbouring cave to explore and a dramatic blowhole where the sea sprays up through the rock like a geyser.

Duqm’s hidden beaches

Duqm is a port town halfway between the cities of Muscat and Salalah and is surrounded by deserted beaches.
