Having recently fallen rather hard for the Peloponnese in Greece, it was with immense delight that I heard about new flights to Kalamata from London..

The Peloponnese, Greece

Besides the spectacular landscapes varying from dramatic mountains, and fields of olive trees, through to long swathes of beaches, one of the real draws to the area is how remote it is. That of course, brought with it long transfer times, which this new route will significantly reduce.

New flight route

The new flight route is from easyJet, and flights will be available for dates in summer 2013 onwards. Here at Original Travel, we can put together packages to suit you in and around the area. The new route will depart London Gatwick Airport, arriving Kalamata a little over four hours later.

Great accommodation

This is great news for holiday makers looking to stay in hotels such as the Costa Navarino Romanos or the Costa Navarino Westin as transfer times will be hugely reduced to about an hour. The hotels are a paradise for children with amazing facilities including beautiful beaches and a spectacular water park.

Could you need another reason?!

Besides gorgeous surroundings and elegantly designed hotels, the Peloponnese also enjoys a delightful climate, good golf courses, and has scrumptious food thanks to the mouth-watering local produce of seafood, lemons, olive oil and, of course, Kalamata olives!
