Ibiza might be famous for its superclubs and sunrise DJ sets, but that version of the island is only part of the story. Venture beyond the south coast and things quickly become quieter, greener and far more romantic. Whitewashed villages sit among olive groves and almond trees, hidden coves replace packed beach clubs and long lunches have a habit of drifting effortlessly into sunset drinks by the sea.

This seven-day romantic escape reveals a more intimate side of the White Isle, beginning near Santa Eulalia where dusty country roads wind between traditional fincas, local markets and tiny family-run restaurants. Then it’s north to Portinatx, around an hour away by car, where pine-covered cliffs tumble into emerald coves and life feels wonderfully disconnected from the rest of the island. Along the way, meet an Ibiza local who’ll introduce you to hidden corners most visitors completely miss.

Your first few nights will be spent in a bohemian countryside finca hidden among orange trees, olive groves and cacti, with garden dinners and lazy afternoons by the pool setting the tone. Then it’s onto an adults-only clifftop retreat overlooking the sea, where vintage finds, yoga sessions and long seafood lunches are very much encouraged. The atmosphere throughout the trip feels unmistakably Ibiza: relaxed, creative and gently rooted in the island’s hippie spirit.

There’s also time for a day trip to neighbouring Formentera, reached by ferry in around half an hour. Think dazzling turquoise water, wild beaches, barefoot beach bars and some of the Balearics’ best seafood restaurants. Not a bad way to spend a day together.

Suggestions

Everything in this itinerary is entirely customisable, down to the smallest details. Here are some more suggestions of what could be included

HIKE FORMENTERA’S WILDER SIDE

Formentera may be small, but it packs plenty into its 12-mile length. Alongside a private guide, set off on foot to explore quieter corners of the island far beyond the main beaches. Depending on your mood and energy levels, routes can include coastal trails, hidden coves, salt flats and panoramic viewpoints looking back towards Ibiza. Early morning and sunset walks are particularly magical (and significantly cooler, too).
