Your eight-day Italian adventure kicks off with a short two-hour flight to Florence. Upon landing, a private transfer will whisk you and your family to your home-away-from-home for the next three nights in the charming Oltrarno neighbourhood.

Settle into your characterful apartment – the perfect cosy base for exploring, playing and making unforgettable memories in one of Florence’s most delightful districts.

On your first full day in Italy, set off for a private family-friendly tour of Florence’s handsome historic centre – the perfect way to introduce little ones to the city’s rich art and culture. Florence is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture inspired by Greek mythology and during the tour you’ll explore the myths of Florence through its statues and paintings.

The rest of the day is yours – explore, play and discover Florence your way, whether roaming the secret passages of Palazzo Vecchio or marvelling at Michelangelo’s David. We can also arrange for a private tour of the Pitti Palace and the beautiful Boboli Gardens. For dinner, why not try some of the city’s famous bistecca alla Fiorentina? Our Concierge is on hand to help you pick your perfect restaurant.

Today, it’s all board for the super scenic train journey from Florence to Rome. The trip takes just over an hour and a half, and during this time you’ll be treated to stunning views of the rolling Tuscan hills and charming Medieval towns before arriving in Italy’s exciting capital.

From the station, you’ll be privately transferred to your home for the next four nights – a relaxed family-friendly hotel in the centre. End the day with dinner in the hotel restaurant or message your Concierge who can secure you a last-minute reservation in town.

This morning it’s time to explore Rome with a fun twist. You and your little adventurers will embark on a safari-style treasure hunt around the city as you go in search of hidden animals tucked away in Rome’s historic sites and monuments. With a booklet of riddles and a private guide, you and your family will uncover the wonders of Piazza Navona, the churches of Bernini, Borromini and Sant'Agnese, the magnificent Pantheon, Piazza della Minerva and some of the city’s most beautiful fountains. This fun and informative tour is designed to captivate and delight even the youngest of travellers.

The next two days are yours to enjoy the wonders of the ‘Eternal City’. This walkable city is full of surprises – lush parks, shady gardens and lively squares dotted with shimmering fountains. A few must-sees for the final days of your trip are: the iconic Trevi Fountain (which is especially magical at night), the Colosseum and its gladiators, the Roman Forum, the Sistine Chapel, the Capitoline Hill, Vatican City and Palatine Hill (birthplace of the Roman Empire). If you need any help deciding what to do (or where to eat) while you’re here, our local Concierge is on hand with expert advice on how to make the most of your time here.

Today it’s time to say arrivederci to Italy. After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be met and privately transferred to the airport for your flight home armed with stories to share and hearts full of memories.
