Enjoy time in Athens then island hop in style between Mykonos, Paros and Santorini on this 15-day itinerary, taking in ancient Greek culture, traditional villages and excellent wines.
Your early morning four-hour flight from London arrives in Athens at around lunchtime.
Once you have collected your bags, we've arranged a forty-minute taxi ride to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day settling in and getting your bearings before your first dinner this evening. Our local Concierge can recommend and book a table at one of the best restaurants or tavernas in town.
This morning you will make your way to the Acropolis to meet your private archaeologist guide for a three-hour tour of the heart of ancient Athenian civilisation.
Together you will peel back the layers of history, digging into ancient Greek society before you visit the recently-opened Acropolis museum. Spend this afternoon exploring Plaka, the 'village within a city' neighbourhood in the Acropolis' shadow.
This morning you will make your way back to the airport by taxi in good time for your 40-minute flight to Mykonos.
Once you have landed and collected your bags, one of our team on the ground will meet you for a 20-minute transfer to your beachside hotel. The rest of the day is yours, so we best in Greece. This evening, our Concierge has booked you a table for sunset at one of the best restaurants, with uninterrupted views of the huge volcanic caldera that constitutes the island.
Spend the next two days relaxing on the beach or by your hotel pool.
We can also arrange spa treatments, or if you would like to get out and explore, private transfers to Mykonos Town. Here, you can explore pretty streets, boutiques and cafes of the town, before preparing for a night out on Mykonos' legendary tiles. Our detailed destination Dossier is full of our favourite places for drinking and dancing on the island so be sure to consult it before you head out.
This morning you will meet your boat and guide at the harbour for a private tour of the sacred ancient Greek island of Delos.
The island's sprawling ruins are said to be the birthplace of the Greek gods Apollo and Artemis, and in its time it has been a shrine to the gods, a sacred treasury and a thriving commercial centre before being abandoned more than a millennium ago. The whole island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its blissful peace and quiet make it a wonderful refuge from the bustle of Mykonos (not to mention an excellent balm for any hangover).
This morning you will be privately transferred to the port to take the hour-and-a-half hydrofoil to Paros. Once back on dry land you will take a ten-minute taxi ride to your boutique hotel.
Today is yours to explore Paros.
We recommend taking a taxi to Naoussa, a pretty fishing village where the locals have preserved centuries old tradition and colourful fishing boats bob in the harbour. Our Concierge has the inside track on the best tavernas in town so be sure to WhatsApp them to ask for a few recommendations and settle in to enjoy a day on the harbour front.
Early this morning (to escape the heat) your local guide will meet you for a quick private transfer to the starting point for your five-mile hike along the coastline of Paros.
The hike takes you off-road, along cliffs tops and beaches and into secret coves. At the end of your hike you will reach the perfect secret swimming spot for a post-hike dip.
This morning you will head to Antiparos - the neighbouring island - for a day messing about in boats.
You will cruise around turquoise lagoons, small islets and deserted islands and sea caves. There will be plenty of time to jump in and explore with snorkels, and the crew will serve a delicious lunch.
This morning you will take a taxi back to the port for your hour-and-three-quarters ferry to Santorini.
Once you have docked, one of our team on the ground will meet you for a private transfer to your hotel, 20 minutes away. Spend the rest of the day relaxing before getting ready for your first iconic Santorini sundowner.
After lunch this afternoon, you will visit a local vineyard for a four-hour wine tasting.
In a small group, you will visit the vines and cellars where wine is matured, before settling down to a tasting. Your sommelier will explain how the volcanic soil on the island makes Santorini's wine some of the best in Greece. This evening, our Concierge has booked you a table for sunset at one of the best restaurants, with uninterrupted views of the huge volcanic caldera that constitutes the island.
Today you are free to do what you like. We can recommend our favourite secret beaches on the island for a day of sunbathing, as well as arranging sailing lessons or guided hikes if you would like to do something more active.
This morning you will make your way to the harbour, where your private yacht will be waiting for you.
As you cruise around the island, starting in the caldera, you will pass cliff-top villages and the famous red and white volcanic sand beaches - where you can jump in for a swim - as well as lighthouses and volcanic hot springs. You will enjoy a delicious lunch on board and visit a tiny island where you can explore safe in the knowledge you are the only people there.
It's your last day in Greece, but the good news is that the flight leaves in the last afternoon so there's time for some last minute sunbathing and shopping and a last long lazy lunch. After lunch you will be privately transferred to the airport in good time for your late afternoon direct four-hour flight back to London, arriving in the evening.
