Point Yamu by Como is an ultra hip addition to the already budding Phuket portfolio of luxury hotels. Located at the tip of Cape Yamu, overlooking the Andaman Sea and the dramatic limestone peaks of Phang Nga Bay, this place is ultimate bliss.

The interiors are by Italian designer Paola Navone and offer a modern interpretation of Thai luxury. The accommodation is colourful, contemporary and clean-lined across 79 rooms and suites. Additionally, there are 27 private luxury villas, all of which are offset by cool white and grey Sino-patterned tiles and floor-to-ceiling windows framing the spectacular views. Most of the rooms have private terraces with views across Phang Nga Bay or inland across the Cape, while the pool suites and private villas have their own pools.

Some of the best dining in Phuket is available at Point Yamu. La Sirena Italian restaurant is located poolside, and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes a lavish spread of fruit, homemade cereals, fresh fruit and vegetable extracts, continental breads and local-style sweet martabaks; lunch is simple wood-fired Italian cuisine, including pizza and seafood, whilst dinner menus feature a wider selection of pastas, salads, raw and cooked seafood, and antipasto platters.

Nahmyaa Restaurant is inspired by Thai street food, which offers fish cakes and satays as snacks, as well as more substantial offerings like noodle soups, curries and stir-fried dishes or whole fish (grilled, steamed and fried), river prawns and crabs. The result? Tastes that combine the hot, salty, sweet and sour notes that define this distinct culinary tradition.

For healthy cuisine, the Como Shambhala Cuisine menus (available in all restaurants and on room service) focus on cooking using organic ingredients rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Finally, the Central Bar is all about cocktails, health-giving smoothies and juices to be enjoyed poolside, or in the restaurants.

The signature COMO Shambhala Retreat spa offers holistic treatments designed to improve relaxation, physical wellbeing and spiritual balance. In addition, there is a yoga studio, steam rooms, Jacuzzi and gym.
