Perched high in the mountains of Pobolinggo, East Java, The Jiwa Jawa Resort is practically on Mount Bromo’s doorstep.

There are nine bedrooms at Jiwa Jawa (formerly known as the Java Banana Lodge) laid out in cabin style lodges, and one larger lodge sleeping up to nine people, perfect for families. There is also a café at the hotel, as well as an art gallery where regular photography exhibitions are held.

The hotel's position and proximity to Mount Bromo means the views are spectacular, and at 2000 metres above sea level, that's no exaggeration. Benched are scattered around the property, so guests can bask in their surroundings.
