With little more than 1,000 mountain gorillas remaining in the world, Volcanoes National Park is one of only three places to catch a glimpse of them. Rwanda safari holidays can include this once-in-a-lifetime experience of gorilla trekking, with the national park’s dramatic volcanic landscape offering a breath-taking backdrop. Gorillas aren’t the only endangered species who inhabit the park and Golden Monkeys can also be seen clambering through the canopy.
