Casa Adela is a beautifully restored Colonial house in the quieter, residential Vedado neighbourhood of Havana. This neoclassical style house is surrounded by a lush garden, making it feel like a real home from home.
The hotel consists of just five air conditioned suites all with modern en suite bathrooms. Each room has been updated and restored with a nod to Cuba's colourful past but with all the modern comforts expected - such as a television, audio system, minibar and safe. The host, Reinaldo, is Cuban/French and has an enviable collection of Cuban art and an eye for artistic detail which is evident throughout the property.
There is no restaurant on site however, there are lots of options locally and a great breakfast is served each morning on the terrace. The living spaces within this quaint residence contrast the contemporary rooms and have been designed to showcase some of Reinaldo's art, which is particularly striking against the backdrop of the old house's traditional features. There is a large living room and several terraces where you can enjoy the art, relax and soak up the lively Havana atmosphere.
The helpful staff at Casa Adela Vedado Havana are always on hand to make sure you get the most out of your trip to Havana. Whilst there is plenty to explore and see in the Vedado neighbourhood, venturing to Old Havana by foot will offer more attractions and takes only 45 minutes - or you can pop into a taxi and be there within five.
Make sure to try the chefshis famous homemade jams at breakfast, they are truly delicious.
