Top 5 Hotels in Europe

Planning a holiday to Europe but not sure where to stay? To help with your decision, I have created this list of what I believe are the top 5 hotels in Europe... Having lived in Spain I have always been passionate about Europe and the wonders it has to offer.

JK Place, Florence, Italy

Florence is one of my favourite European cities and I'd say JK Place is the best hotel to explore it from. I love staying in small hotels on city breaks as I think they are the most intimate and often have the best locations - JK Place is super central and when staying there, I felt like I actually lived in Florence. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and a lovely touch is that traditional Italian coffee and goodies are available in the lounge, free of charge, all day.

Grace Santorini, Santorini, Greece

Built right on the cliff edge directly overlooking the Caldera,Grace Santorini has the most breath-taking setting of any hotel I have been to. The view from your balcony (equipped with sun loungers and a private plunge pool) is at its best at sunset, which coincidentally occurs at wine time every day. The service was impeccable and the champagne breakfast was pretty good too! I can't wait to go back.

Dean Street Townhouse, London, UK

The Dean Street Townhouse primarily makes my top 5 list because of their Eastern Standard cocktail they serve in the bar, which is the best cocktail I've ever had, plus, their restaurant is also firm favourite for good quality English food. It's also in a great location right in the heart of London's Soho, so I think it's the perfect option for a quick stopover and also works for longer stays in London as a great base to explore the sights.

Puro, Majorca, Spain

Puro is the modern boutique hotel option in the centre of Palma's old historic town, La Lonja. The location couldn't be better for shopping, wining or dining. Originally a private mansion house, the property has been restored into a design hotel and is now very contemporary and each room has all the latest technology. One of the things I loved about this hotel is its private beach club, the perfect place to spend the day by the pool - very chic.

Castello Di Vicarello, Tuscany, Italy

The Castello di Vicarello is a rustic, luxury boutique hotel built in a castle, and it's so impressive!! I arrived late at night and had dinner with the owners in their kitchen, although it wasn't until the next morning that I truly fell in love with the property. The views are stunning, and the hotel has so much character - each of the eight rooms are different, my personal favourite being Chiensa, with its mix of antique and modern furniture and incredible views of the Tuscan countryside. The spa is built entirely of wood and glass, and the hot tub is perched right on the edge of the valley. It would be the perfect place for a wedding, I'm suggesting it to anyone who is currently planning one.
