Dive into an ocean of vibrant colours and breathtaking landscape at beautiful Butchart Gardens, Victoria’s most famous attraction. This 55- acre garden of flowers, landscaped theme gardens, streams and ponds makes for an unforgettable stroll throughout every season.

Over a century ago the Butcharts began building what nowadays is known as one of the world's most popular floral show gardens. Enjoy spectacular views of the Sunken Garden with its deep walls, blooming trees and unique shrubs. The Rose Garden amazes with bright colours and beautiful scents throughout summer and early fall.

Gaze at Japanese maples and beech trees on a walk along the gentle paths of the peaceful Japanese Gardens, guided by streams, ponds and bridges. The impressive Italian Garden features a frog fountain in its centre and many colourful annuals. Exotic plants from around the world can be found in the rather small Mediterranean Garden.

This magnificent National Historic Site is worth a visit during every season, even throughout winter time!

Marvel at spectacular firework shows or enjoy music nights, on-stage performances, boat tours, ice skating and activities for families and kids. Don't miss the Butchart Gardens' spectacular illuminations during the summer months, when the garden staff bring out a different look and feel to the garden by using the play of light and shadows creating magical glows upon the trees and flowers.
