Your hotel in Laamu - a tropical paradise

This is a charming resort for fans of 'intelligent luxury' and for professional castaways. An idyll that is respectful of nature, the environment and local traditions, on the island of Olhuveli in the heart of the Laamu Atoll. With no tarmacked roads and no cars, this garden island on the edges of a lagoon can only be discovered on foot or by bike. It's an elegant, ecological setting that has been expertly crafted, but it fosters a sense of simplicity, free from the what is considered traditional luxury. Suites and villas nestle between land and sea; some have chosen fine sand and small gardens for privacy, and others sit on stilts to give a better view of the reefs.
All feature state-of-the-art technology, outdoor bathrooms and top-quality materials: Egyptian raw cotton for bedding, palm leaves and raw wood for the decor. The other advantage of the hotel is the attention it pays to food; it has a range of restaurants offering cuisine from around the world. The cuisine on offer includes Mediterranean in the middle of the organic garden, plus sushi and sashimi. The chef favours freshly-caught fish and prefers to use produce from the surrounding gardens.

In the itinerary

It's time to let go and enjoy the pleasures of the beach, the hotel facilities and the cocoon of your villa, but also quality time together in nature and the fresh air. Included is a relaxing one-hour couple's massage at your hotel, and a tour of the village of Hithadhoo , just a short boat ride away.

As a couple, you will love

- Snorkelling for multi-coloured fish and diving to get close to the barracudas and reef sharks - Putting yourselves in the expert hands of spa therapists and being immersed in the aromas of coconut and papaya - Venturing into the lagoon by sailing or surfing (June to September) - Movie nights under the stars 'in the jungle'
