Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Rise and shine: your romantic getaway to Mauritius begins today. Head to the airport, breeze through security and settle in for a celebratory tipple in the lounge before boarding your overnight flight – the journey will take around 12 hours, so be sure to have a good book and a sleeping mask on hand.

When you arrive the following morning, you’ll be met and privately transferred one hour to Le Morne, where you’ll be staying for the next three nights.

Set on the southwestern tip of Mauritius, Le Morne is renowned for its rugged mountains and tempting beaches. You’ll have the chance to uncover the beauty of this beautiful peninsula over the next few days, so spend the rest of the afternoon taking it easy – perhaps with an ice-cold drink in hand…

Now you’ve settled in, you have three full days to discover everything La Morne has to offer. The pretty village sits at the base of Le Morne Brabant, a dramatic basalt mountain that rises almost 2,000ft above sea level. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, the mountain boasts wonderful hiking trails, rare flora and hidden caves once used as a refuge for escaped slaves.

Once you’ve conquered Le Morne’s mountain, it’s time to uncover its beaches. The peninsula boasts sprawling stretches of white sand, perfect for a casual dip in the crystal-clear waters, a leisurely afternoon in the shade of the native casuarina trees or, if you visit the southern end, a spot of water sports. Le Morne Lagoon can also be explored from a canoe or kayak, or you can dive under the surface to see sea turtles, butterflyfish and even the occasional dolphin.

In between adventures, we’ve also arranged a couple’s massage at the hotel spa, a romantic breakfast on the beach and an aperitif as the sun goes down – the perfect introduction to your Mauritian getaway.

Wave goodbye to Le Morne this morning as you head east to Trou d'Eau Douce. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be privately transferred one hour to your next hotel, where you’ll be staying for the next four nights.

Trou d’Eau Douce is a charming fishing village, known for its relaxed atmosphere, white-sand beaches and crystal-clear lagoon. It’s a popular spot for swimming, snorkelling and, of course, simply enjoying the scenery.

Today, take some time to get into the rhythm of slow island living, whether that’s lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun on the beach or just enjoying each other’s company.

Literally translating to ‘freshwater hole’, life in Trou d’Eau Douce is lived on or by the water. Aside from dipping your toes in the sea and swimming in the pool, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to experience the town’s sparkling waters, with the option to try stand-up paddleboarding or head out on banana boat rides and glass-bottom boat trips.

Is your other half a golfer? Get in a game on the famous Ile aux Cerfs course, an 18-hole circuit designed by golfing pro Bernhard Langer. After another way of getting active? Explore the local area by bike, from the charming Flacq district to the village of Quatre Cocos, for even more lush beaches and rugged scenery.

To up the romance factor, we’ve arranged an indulgent couple’s massage at your hotel and a love-laced lunch on a private island. It doesn’t get much more dreamy than that…

Sadly, your island adventure is coming to an end today. After one last leisurely breakfast, a private driver will whisk you back to the airport, a one-hour drive away. When you arrive, it’s time to board your overnight flight back to the UK.

You can either fly direct or with a quick layover to break up the journey, making the total time between around 13 and 16 hours. You’ll land the next morning, sporting a golden glow and ready to plan your next romantic getaway…
