Next, it’s onto Grenada, the ‘Spice Isle’. Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Sunnies on and out-of-offices set: your Caribbean getaway begins today. Head to the airport, speed through security and enjoy some pre-flight refreshments in the lounge before boarding your direct flight to Barbados, which takes just over nine hours.

When you arrive, you’ll be met and privately transferred to Saint James, a pretty parish on the island’s west coast. Check in for four nights, drop your bags and spend the rest of the day settling in – preferably with a cocktail in hand…

With its soft sand beaches, sparkling waters and swaying coconut palms, Saint James is the epitome of an island paradise. We’ve left today free for you to settle into your new surroundings, so slap on some suncream, slip on your flip-flops and head out.

Fancy a day of pure R&R? Beeline for the beach, set up camp on the sand and spend the day soaking up the sun, rising only for a gentle stroll along the shore or a refreshing dip in the sea. Or, if you’re raring to go, hop aboard a fishing boat and sail out into the deep blue. Once you reach a suitable spot, simply cast your lines and wait. Then once you’re back on dry land, take your freshly caught fish to a local restaurant, where they’ll transform it into a Caribbean feast. Cheers to that…

Rum lovers, you’re in luck. Often considered the birthplace of this sweet and sometimes spiced spirit, Barbados produces a number of iconic rums, so fuel up with a hearty breakfast and head down to a local beach bar for an introduction to this lauded beverage.

Alongside an expert mixologist, learn about the science and history of rum production, from the harvesting of sugar cane to the distilling process. Then, armed with your newfound knowledge, enjoy a tasting of some carefully selected rums, making a mental note of your favourite for the perfect souvenir.

We’ve left your last day in Barbados free for you to enjoy at your own pace, so kick off the day right with a tasty breakfast and a leisurely morning stroll along the sand.

If you fancy delving deeper into the island’s lesser-known traditions, head to a local polo club to watch a match (yes, really). Popular since 1884, the sport is a big hitter among both locals and tourists, so sit back and enjoy a spirited game before heading to the clubhouse for a post-polo drink.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel or heading out for a spot of souvenir shopping in town. When you’ve worked up an appetite, simply stroll along the shore to a local spot – the world (by which we mean Barbados) is your oyster.

Bid Barbados a fond farewell as you’re privately transferred back to the airport for the speedy one-hour flight to Grenada, the second stop on your Caribbean getaway.

When you touch down, it’s another private transfer to the outskirts of St George’s, the capital, where you’ll be staying for the next four nights on the waterfront. Grab a tasty lunch and spend the rest of the day settling in, whether you’d rather top up your tan, swim a few laps of the pool or indulge in a relaxing treatment at the spa. Pure bliss.

Dive straight into Grenada today as you fuel up with a hearty breakfast, lace up your walking shoes and meet a knowledgeable local guide for a hike to the incredible Seven Sisters Waterfalls.

Set in Grenada’s lush interior, not far from the iconic Grand Etang Lake, this series of spectacular waterfalls make for a postcard-perfect setting. Alongside your guide, hike through the rainforest, stopping to snap shots of the falls, marvel at native Mona monkeys and cool off in natural pools.

Later, return to your hotel for a leisurely afternoon and a hearty dinner – you’ve earned it after all that walking.

Your final two days are yours for the taking. Take advantage of island life with leisurely mornings by the pool, dips in the sea and spa treatments at the hotel – you are on holiday, after all.

Fancy getting to know Grenada a little more? Head out on private tours to some of the island’s hotspots, including Fort Frederick; the Victoria Nutmeg Museum, one of the largest nutmeg processing factories on the island; and River Antoine distillery, known for its authentic rum (yes, please).

If you’re after something a little more active, we can also arrange for you to mask up and dive down to the island’s Underwater Sculpture Park, a submerged art gallery just off the island’s coast.

End each day sun-kissed, salt-speckled and satisfied with seafood dinners and sundowners on the beach. It doesn’t come much better than this.

Sadly it’s time for your Grenada holiday to come to an end. Enjoy one last beachfront breakfast before you’re collected and privately transferred to the airport for your overnight flight home.

With a quick stopover, the journey will take around ten-and-a-half hours, and you’ll touch down in the UK the next day, armed with a golden tan and a camera roll full of photos.
