Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Early morning alarms are much easier when you’re heading Down Under. Make your way to the airport, breeze through security and settle into the lounge for some fizz and nibbles before boarding.

Your first flight will take you to a Middle Eastern or South Asian hub, where you’ll have a short stopover to stretch your legs and then it’s the second leg to Sydney. Cosy up in your seats and queue a few films for the long flight.

When you touch down in Sydney (the day after leaving the UK), you’ll be met at the airport and whisked away on a private transfer to the Woolloomooloo district, your home for the next three nights.

Keen to unwind after all that travelling? Depending on your arrival time, you could take a dip in the pool, bask in your first dose of Aussie sunshine or simply crawl into bed and call it a day.

In true Aussie fashion, rise early this morning raring to go (and ready to shake off any lingering jet lag). You’ll meet your private guide, who knows the city like the back of their hand and set off on a walking tour designed entirely around you.

There’s no rigid plan today, so consider it a crash course in Australia’s spontaneous way of life. Wander through lush parks, find the perfect spot for a flat white and stroll along the waterfront, admiring those big Sydney views, with your guide sharing plenty of insider tips along the way.

Later on, swap your walking shoes for sea legs with a cruise around Sydney Harbour. Setting off near Circular Quay, drift past the city’s most iconic sights: the Harbour Bridge stretching overhead and the Opera House taking centre stage (pun intended), all while ferries weave in and out. Make sure to snap lots of photos while you’re here – this is prime holiday album material.

At sunset, grab a table along the promenade for dinner with a view, and when you’re suitably stuffed, head back to your hotel for a relaxed evening.

Craving a beach day already? Today you’re in for a treat. Catch the ferry from Circular Quay and enjoy a breezy 20-minute ride across the harbour, with the city skyline fading behind you as Manly Wharf comes into view.

When you’ve reached Manly Beach, flop on the sand and embrace Sydney’s laid-back lifestyle – think salt in your hair, sun on your skin and not a care in the world. Inspired by the active locals? Try your hand at surfing, enjoy a jog along the shore or find your inner zen with some beach yoga. Then grab some fish and chips from the Corso before strolling to the port for the ferry ride back to Sydney.

If you’re not ready to call it a day just yet, we can arrange a private walk through Ku-Ring-Gai Chase Park, where forested trails and hidden viewpoints make for a very scenic leg day.

By evening, you’ll be sun-kissed and very much in holiday mode – ready for another delicious dinner.

Today you’re off to see what everyone comes to Australia for: kangaroos. And what better place to spot them than Kangaroo Island?

You’ll be privately transferred to Sydney Airport, where you’ll board a two-hour flight to Adelaide. On arrival, pick up your hire car and follow the scenic coastal road south to Cape Jervis. From here, it’s just a 30-minute ferry crossing to the long-anticipated Kangaroo Island, Australia’s third-largest island.

Home to 20 national parks and a close-knit community of just under 5,000 people, its landscapes range from sand dunes and wooded reserves to rolling vineyards and rugged cliffs, which are yours to explore at your own pace.

You’ll stay for two nights on the seafront, just a five-minute walk from the ferry port. After a day of travel, we’ve kept today deliberately low-key, so take a dip in the pool or head to a nearby pub for an evening drink outdoors.

Kangaroo Island isn’t just famous for its namesake marsupials – while you’ll see plenty of kangaroos hopping around, you’ll also spot some seriously relaxed sea lions. Start the day with a private tour of Seal Bay Conservation Park, where a local expert will share insights into the behaviour of these marine mammals as you observe them in their natural habitat.

Then, hit the road to explore the island’s southern gems at your own pace. Vivonne Bay is a must-see, where you’ll find crystal-clear waters and white sands – the perfect spot for a classic Aussie barbecue. Grab a ‘snag’ (or sausage, for us Brits) and pair it with some fresh salad before catching a few waves.

If you’re after even more adventure, head to Little Sahara for some adrenaline-filled sandboarding down the dunes. Then visit Flinders Chase National Park’s famed Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, keeping your eyes peeled for koalas – another Aussie icon.

Say goodbye to Kangaroo Island and drive your hire car onto the 30-minute ferry back to the mainland.

When you disembark, follow the coast for two hours north to Barossa Valley, where vineyards roll on for miles and the scenery is classic wine-country charm. Check in for two nights in the heart of this famous region – home to some seriously good Syrah, Grenache and Chardonnay.

Take the afternoon to indulge in some well-deserved R&R. Lounge by the pool, enjoy a rejuvenating massage or simply wander through the vineyard grounds. As evening falls, stretch your legs with a stroll to a nearby restaurant for dinner and savour hearty fare paired with world-class wine – does it get any better than this?

Roll out of bed this morning and head out to explore the best of Barossa Valley, where vineyard hopping isn’t only encouraged – it’s practically a sport. Drift between cellar doors and experience how a quick wine tasting has a funny way of turning into a full-blown love affair with your new favourite shiraz.

The valley itself is a beauty, where blissful Australian sunshine works its magic on every grape in sight. Winemaking here dates back to the 1800s, and it shows in every sip, from bold reds and generous pours to the care and passion of the locals behind each bottle.

And as the day winds down, find a scenic spot to watch the sunset over the valley, casting everything in a golden glow – cheers to that.

Swap the romance of the vineyards for something wilder today as you leave Barossa Valley behind and head north towards Wilpena Pound, located in the Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park. It’s about a five-hour drive, so hit the open roads, roll the windows down, crank up our destination-specific playlist and let the outback do its thing...

When you arrive, check into your hotel for the next three nights and settle in. After some classic Aussie evening grub, step outside and look up – with almost no light pollution, the night sky will be alive with a glittering canopy of stars. And just like that, you’ll be fully immersed in the outback.

Lace up your walking boots for a full day in the Flinders Ranges, where the outback puts on a show. Your local guide will take you into Wilpena Pound, a natural amphitheatre shaped over 800 million years, where jagged cliffs cradle rust-red valleys. Sacred to the Adnyamathanha people, your guide will share stories of this dramatic landscape, bringing its history to life.

Keep an eye out for wandering wildlife: think kangaroos hopping across the plains, emus striding through the scrub and the occasional yellow-footed rock wallaby darting among the rocks. You may even spot a few creepy crawlies – you’re in the outback, after all.

For a whole new perspective, why not take to the skies? We can organise a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound, offering breathtaking views of the rugged landscape.

All this outback explorin’ is bound to work up an appetite, so for dinner, treat yourself to some local classics – tender lamb chops, grilled barramundi or an Aussie beef steak, all paired with a glass of regional wine.

This morning, take one last look at the untamed beauty of Wilpena Pound before setting off on the five-hour drive to Adelaide. As the coastline appears and locals stroll by with surfboards in hand, that effortlessly cool Aussie vibe will start to kick in.

Return your hire car and check in for two nights in the heart of Adelaide, surrounded by plenty of indie cafes and quirky shops. Spend the rest of today searching for a souvenir or two to bring a little piece of the Land Down Under back home with you.

This morning, set off on a relaxed walk around the city with a local guide, picking up plenty of insider tips along the way. They’ll lead you down streets loved by locals, through hidden spots full of street art and to some of Adelaide’s best bakeries.

The afternoon is yours to play with. Fancy a culture fix? Head to the Art Gallery of South Australia or the South Australian Museum for a deep dive into Aboriginal art and history. In the mood for some fresh air? Enjoy a seaside stroll along Glenelg Beach (and maybe even a dolphin sighting), or climb up Mount Lofty for sweeping views over the city. The Central Market is also a must – a buzzing hub of over 70 stalls where you can sample everything from fresh produce to local treats.

And for your final night, why not ask our Concierge for their favourite local restaurant? Raise a glass, toast to your incredible journey and watch the sun dip below the horizon.

Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye to Australia. This morning, you’ll be privately transferred to Adelaide Airport, just a short 15-minute drive away. Once you’re checked in, stock up on your favourite Aussie snacks and settle in for the first leg of the long journey home, with a stopover in the Middle East or South Asia along the way.

By the end of the trip, you’ll likely be head over heels for Australia’s charm and perhaps even daydreaming about a permanent postcode... or at least plotting a return trip.
