You can't go wrong with a family holiday on the Puglian coast. Visit the 1500 cone-shaped trulli stone houses in Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the clifftop town of Polignano a Mare, where you can watch the crashing waves from balconies and take the children to a cornetteria (shop specialising in Italian-style croissants).
