Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Your Tunisian adventure begins today. Head to the airport, breeze through security and unwind in the airport lounge before your three-hour flight to Tunis.

Upon arrival, take a private transfer to a charming property in the heart of the medina: this will be your home for the next two nights. Relax in your spacious room and make the most of the hotel’s amenities this afternoon.

Come evening, savour quintessential Tunisian cuisine at one of the local restaurants, or ask your local Concierge for their recommendations. Hit the hay ready for a day of exploring tomorrow…

Rise and shine, today is all about exploring the Medina of Tunis. Head out on a private tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site with an expert guide and lose yourself in the maze of bustling shops, hidden cafes and historic landmarks. Wander down the winding alleys in search of chechias (traditional red woollen hats), silver trinkets and handcrafted leather goods. And don’t forget to savour a glass of Tunisian mint tea topped with pine nuts.

This afternoon, swap the busy old quarter for the modern Bourguiba Avenue, where you can admire the Art Nouveau-style Municipal Theatre (built in 1902) and the Cathedral of Saint Vincent de Paul. Then head to the Bardo National Museum, housed in a former Beylical palace, to see the remarkable collections of art, history and archaeology on display.

Wave goodbye to Tunis and take a short, half-hour private transfer to the idyllic Sidi Bou Said. This picturesque village is renowned for its pristine white houses, vibrant blue shutters and overflowing bougainvillaea.

You’ll spend two nights here, soaking in the charm of your new surroundings. For the rest of today, take in the spectacular views across the Mediterranean, browse for local crafts or indulge at a traditional Tunisian hammam. Come evening, consult our detailed Dossier for must-visit dinner spots in the area (complete with sea views, of course).

Wake up bright and early, ready for a busy day ahead. Wander through the winding streets of Sidi Bou Said, perched above the Bay of Tunis. Follow in the footsteps of French intellectuals Andre Gide and Simone de Beauvoir on a visit to the famous Café des Nattes. Then, explore the elegant 18th-century house and museum, Dar El Annabi, for a glimpse into traditional Tunisian life.

After a hearty lunch, step back in time on a private tour of the ancient, UNESCO-listed site of Carthage. Founded by the Phoenicians, this once thriving trade hub was destroyed and later rebuilt by the Romans. Visit the Tophet, a sacred burial site dedicated to the Phoenician deities Baal Hammon and Tanit, before heading to the Punic Ports – once a key battleground during the Phoenician and Roman wars. Then, explore the Roman Theatre and the Antonine Baths, where detailed mosaics and crumbling statues still stand.

Sadly, your Tunisian adventure comes to an end today. Savour one last breakfast in pretty Sidi Bou Said, then take a private transfer to Tunis airport. Breeze through security and relax in the lounge before catching your three-hour flight back to the UK; time will fly by as you scroll through your camera roll, reminisce over your trip and toast to a fantastic five days in Tunisia.
