Slap on your holiday playlist and head to the airport: your musical getaway to Jamaica begins today. After speeding through security and chilling out in the lounge, board your direct flight to Kingston, which will take just under ten hours, landing in the late afternoon – perfectly timed so you arrive at your hotel in time for sundowners.
When you touch down, you’ll be met and privately transferred to your hotel. Check in, divvy up the sides of the bed and spend a few hours soaking in your new surroundings before heading out for your first taste of Jamaican cuisine.
We’ve left your first day free for you to enjoy at your own pace. After a leisurely breakfast (fresh fruit, anyone?), while away the hours lounging by the pool or head out to explore the capital, stopping for tasty snacks soundtracked by the smooth rhythms that punctuate the city’s streets.
Come evening, don your glad rags and meet your driver-guide, who’ll whisk you to a club in the heights of Kingston. This lively venue rounds out each week with spectacular reggae and new wave performances, so grab a rum punch and soak up the laid-back vibes with the locals.
Today is entirely dedicated to a (or perhaps the) Jamaican legend, Bob Marley. Grab your bags, check out of your hotel and meet another friendly driver-guide this morning for a full-day tour, ending at your next hotel in St. Andrew.
First on the agenda is the Bob Marley Museum. Set in the musician’s former home, this 19th-century house showcases an array of Marley’s personal treasures. Suitably wowed, you’ll then be treated to an interactive tour, visiting the rehearsal room, lounge and recording studio and learning about the record-making process.
After a tasty lunch, make for Trench Town, where rocksteady and reggae music originated. Then, cruise along Orange Street, also known as ‘Beat Street’, whose recording studios and record shops helped popularise Jamaican music and gave many iconic stars their starts.
Next, it’s onto Devon House, home of Jamaica’s first black millionaire. After a quick tour, cool off with some ice cream and a spot of souvenir shopping before you’re whisked up to your hotel in the Blue Mountains for a peaceful evening watching the sunset.
Enjoy a laid-back morning after your jam-packed day yesterday: think a serene breakfast overlooking the mountains and an indulgent spa treatment.
Then, come afternoon, meet your private guide for a tour of the Blue Mountain’s coffee plantations. The Blue Mountains are renowned for producing the world’s most refined coffee, thanks to the altitude, soil and weather conditions – so much so that Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee is a protected trademark. With your guide, explore some of the area’s most prolific plantations, along with a tasting of the steaming beverage, well-loved for its rich flavour and lack of bitterness.
Come evening, swap coffee for cocktails as you watch the sun set over the mountains. Pure bliss.
After one last mountaintop breakfast, you’ll be picked up and privately transferred to Port Antonio, around two-and-a-half hours away. Depending on which route you pick, you’ll either wind through rugged mountain landscapes or cruise along the coast – cameras at the ready…
When you arrive, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day and tomorrow indulging in some serene R&R, whether you’d rather soak up the sunshine on the sand, frolic in the sea or stroll into Port Antonio for an ice cream. If you’re raring to go, you could also take to the water for snorkelling, white-water rafting or kayaking.
As evening falls, enjoy sundowners at the hotel bar, soundtracked by reggae and ska beats, or head out to the best ska spots in town – the friendly hotel team will likely let you in on some hidden gems.
This morning, wave goodbye to Port Antonio as you head northwest along the coast to Ocho Rios, a one-hour drive away. Check in, unpack and prep for even more blissful relaxation in this island paradise.
Spend your days here sunning yourself on the sand or lounging with a holiday read by the pool. If you fancy a change of scenery, you could also head out to Dunn’s River Falls, jaw-dropping terraced waterfalls nestled in the rainforest, or Fern Gully, a winding road hidden under a canopy of lush green ferns.
Travelling with a devoted diver? Visit nearby Dolphin Cove, where you can come up close and personal with – you guessed it – the resident dolphins.

It’s sadly time for your musical journey through Jamaica to come to an end. After one last lazy morning, you’ll be collected and privately transferred three hours back to Kingston, where you’ll board your overnight flight home.
The flight will take just under nine hours, and you’ll touch down the next morning, armed with a shiny new playlist and a newfound knowledge of Jamaica’s musical greats.
