Ubud Hanging Gardens
Built on a hillside among steeply terraced rice paddies, the resort enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding hills and mountains and overlooks the winding Ayung River in the valley below, and a temple on the opposite hill.
Accommodation consists of private pool villas which hug the curves of the hillsides and have panoramic views of the valley. Each villa comes with a private terrace and infinity pool, a four-poster bed and floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the beautiful scenery.
Facilities include a large main swimming pool on two levels surrounded by a sundeck, a spa offering a variety of massages and treatments, and landscaped gardens. The main restaurant serves Franco-Asian cuisine and there is also a café for lighter meals and an open-air bar that makes an ideal spot for sundowner drinks. Private dining in the privacy of your own villa or picnics in the hotel grounds are also available.
Activities on offer range from cooking, painting and yoga classes to mountain biking, river rafting and excursions to climb local volcanoes. Morning botanical walks led by an experienced guide are another option, and there is a complimentary shuttle service to nearby Ubud, the arts and cultural capital of Bali.
