A natural phenomenon and major attraction on the island of Capri, the Blue Grotto definitely lives up to its billing.
Sunlight refracting through the water illuminates the cave a brilliant blue, whatever the time of day. There is only a minimal tide, and at low tide boats can navigate through the narrow entrance into the cave, but at other times you can swim in.
