Itinerary Highlights

  • Salvador - 3 Days
Jetting into Salvador having had a quick stopover at Sao Paolo, a transfer awaits to Villa Bahia. Salvador is an historic city, and Villa Bahia sits right in its heart, a colonial townhouse that has been magnificently renovated. Just a short walk away lie some of the beautifully maintained sights of Salvador, including the Jorge Amado Museum, the celebrated Lacerda Elevator and the Praca de Se overlooking All Saints Bay. The city of Salvador is often referred to as the 'African Soul', due to the many descendants of African slaves who have held tight onto their African traditions. As such it is a vibrant mix of customs and cultures that make up this exciting part of Bahia.

  • Chapada Diamantina National Park - 4 Days
Next stop is a flight to Chapada Diamantina and the Lencois region, with a stay in the eco conscious Canto das Aguas, which overlooks the mighty Lencois River. Translated literally as 'music of the water', the hotel is placed in an area of inimitable natural beauty and aims to interfere as little as possible with its surroundings. Explore on foot, or simply relax and soak in the wonderful noises of the habitat around.

  • Trancoso - 3 Days
The Quadrado in Trancoso is famed for its historic heritage, and four of the twelve casa's of Uxua Casa Hotel are integrated completely within it. Local artisans were employed to build the hotel using traditional techniques, and the hotel offers plenty of nooks for hiding away and relaxing. Better yet, it's just a gentle ten minute stroll to one of Trancoso's beautiful wide beaches.

  • Rio de Janeiro - 4 Days
The bright lights of Rio beckon for the final stop off to this Brazilian adventure, where, towering over the Copacabana Beach stands Copacabana Palace. Having re-charged on the coast, exploring Rio will certainly pick up the pace again. Mere minutes from the centre of Rio, Cop Palace (as it's affectionately known), is the prime base from which to throw yourself into the bustling city beyond. Ipanema Beach stretches effortlessly, while the Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountains and the landmark of Cristo Redentor must be seen to be believed. The excitement surrounding football is almost palpable in the city, so to catch a game is an experience quite unlike any other.

A rough idea of price

A similar itinerary would cost from £5,965 per person which includes all flights, hotels, transfers and organised trips.
