Located at the foot of the Andes in the Patagonian Lake District, Tipiliuke Lodge is part of the vast Cerro de los Pinos country estate founded in 1909.
The lodge has nine simply decorated rooms at the heart of the property, as well as a living room, dining room and a cosy bar. The lodge is surrounded by woodland, consisting of around 200 different species of tree, with a small stream running along side.
Fly fishing is one of the major draw cards to this part of Patagonia, and other activities include birding, golf, horseback riding, rafting, trekking, polo, cooking lessons and at certain times, skiing. For those in search of something more relaxed the nearby thermal spa is a welcome treat, as is wine tasting which is also available in the area.
Why we love it
The lodge has been run by the same family since 1909, and the three generations of experience is apparent in the level of service and local knowledge.
