Whether that be the best way to spend 24 hours in Brooklyn or the brilliance of The High Line, the elevated walkway lined with plants running through Chelsea. Where You've Been in 2016

At the end every year we love to take a look back at some of the amazing trips we've planned for our clients, and this year there have been some absolute stonkers. We're talking intrepid honeymoons, adventurous sabbaticals, secret beach breaks, fun-filled family getaways, cultural escapades and much, much more. We've sent people to over 100 countries so far this year (104, to be precise) and here are just a few of our favourites...

New York and Kauai: The perfect Yin and Yang Combo

I have come to the conclusion that I am a tad Yin and Yang. I adore the city but I also thrive on country life. I travel extensively but I also find happiness with my home comforts. I explore the new but always return to my favourites - which is probably why I love visiting contrasting destinations on holiday. With one, you appreciate the other, and this duality is one of the reasons I strongly recommend combining the ever bustling New York City with one of the most beautiful and remote islands on Earth, Kauai in Hawaii.

Parlez-vous Anglais?

Consider the English-speaking world. Don't panic - this isn't going to be some misty-eyed paean to the age of Empire, when Britannia ruled the waves, and the sun never set, etc; but if you think about the places that speak English as their first language, they make for a pretty spectacular wish list of destinations. Visiting places like Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia and the US of A means scenery, culture, wildlife, food and fun for sure, but there's another - less obvious, but no less important - reason to go.

The Foodie Tour of America

As a nation of immigrants, the US of A is home to some truly diverse dishes. Here we take a look at some American Classics from the American Grill menu by our friends at Deliverance.

24 hours in... Brooklyn, New York

The trendification of New York's Brooklyn suburb has been well publicised over the past few years and it's become synonymous with the word 'hipster'. Jay-Z's childhood play ground now has streets laden with artisan coffee shops, quirky boutiques and trendy beards. Not forgetting it's a foodie's paradise and home to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Many Sights of New York

Whilst exploring the sights of New York I find myself eating too much at the wrong times, revelling in the bustle and soaking up an intense slice of city living.

80 Senses: #15 - The High Line New York

New York's new park... We really do ♥ NY. There's something extremely comforting about arriving back after a year away to find yellow cabs still being driven appallingly, wintry steam still rising from vents in the street (only in winter, obviously), and every inhabitant still acting like they're in a movie.

The Perfect New York Day at the Plaza Hotel

Until three days ago, The Plaza Hotel in New York brought Sex and the City to mind - remember the one when Big has his engagement party and Carrie says to him, 'Your girl is lovely, Hubbell'? I only watched The Way We Were because of that line. Now when I think of The Plaza Hotel, I start salivating like one of Pavlov's dogs (and no, he was not my great-grandfather).
