Things to do in Hawaii

The small volcanic islands of Hawaii have a lot more to offer than just beautiful white sand beaches (although we do admit that these are pretty special). There are some incredible sites to be seen further inland from the shore. Each of the islands is made up of at least one volcano, with Big Island being home to some of the most impressive, while Kauai is home to Waimea Canyon, known as 'The Grand Canyon of the Pacific', and is well worth a visit for its colourful walls formed by various volcanic eruptions.

Back to the water, and Hawaii is home to one of the top dive spots in the world, Molokini Crater, famous for its crystal-clear water and the 250 odd tropical fish species who call it home. You also can't visit the birthplace of big wave surfing without getting in the water and giving it a go yourself, although perhaps stick to the calmer waters of Waikiki if you're a beginner, and leave the big waves to the professionals.
