One & Only The Palm

When we hear ‘Dubai’ we think excess, for better or worse. At One & Only The Palm you’ll get the calibre of service you’d expect from a luxury Dubai hotel, but with the added extra of understated sophistication. Plus, with fantastic views from the tip of one of The Palm’s private peninsulas, this is a fantastic choice for those seeking a more exclusive Dubai stay.

One & Only The Palm offers 94 exquisitely styled and furnished rooms, mansions and villas set in landscaped gardens. The architecture and décor is a tasteful melange of Andalusian and contemporary Arabian chic - think tall arches and elaborate latticework - with each and every room featuring marble bathrooms with a separate walk-in shower and indulgent freestanding bath tub. For the most exclusive of stays, treat yourself to one of four two-bedroom beachfront villas, complete with open plan living space, bar, spacious balconies and a rooftop terrace. If that wasn't enough, all villas also include a private outdoor area for al fresco dining and enjoying your own temperature controlled pool.

Guests at One & Only The Palm are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options, with a range of local and international fare served in all three restaurants. ZEST is the hotel's main restaurant serving Asian-fusion and Western dishes in an elegant setting. Dine on the terrace with views of the pool and Moorish-inspired gardens or, on cooler nights, enjoy the ambiance from within the restaurant's floor-to-ceiling windows. Alternatively, for tapas or a Mediterranean-inspired meal, head down to the resort's private marina where you'll find restaurant 101. This all day restaurant come lounge is in an unbeatable spot to enjoy the impressive panoramic views of Dubai's cityscape, accompanied by buzzing music from the resident DJ. The third restaurant, STAY, boasts high vaulted ceilings and black crystal chandeliers, and offers a varied menu alongside a dedicated Pastry Library(!).

This wouldn't be a true luxury Dubai hotel if it didn't have a spa. Thankfully Guerlain Spa offers a fantastic range of treatments which take place in nine private suites, all encircling a central courtyard and spa pool. Aside from the spa's, further swimming pools include an 18m outdoor lap pool and one located near the private beach - perfect after a spot of tennis or a round of golf. Unlike many of Dubai's hotels, One & Only The Palm is also definitely a family friendly choice, offering a kids club, cooking classes, belly dancing and even Arabian camping.

The spectacular location of this boutique hotel allows guests access to an array of activities outside the grounds too, including water sports, fishing and water parks. Once you've exhausted all the beach has to offer (not an easy task), escape the buzz and take a guided drive into the desert to watch the sunset and enjoy a private moonlit dinner.
