Anantara The Palm

Beautifully set on the eastern crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, the Anantara Palm Resort & Spa truly is a place which can only be described as a Thai Mecca in a Middle Eastern country.

There are 293 luxurious guest rooms and villas available at the beach-side hotel, each comfortably and tastefully furnished. Lagoon view rooms overlook a meandering swimming pool lagoon and lagoon access rooms grant you direct access to float on a inflatable bed outside your room. For those seeking even more space and privacy, the Beach Pool Villas have personal infinity pools and a first for Dubai are the over Water Villas which feature clear glass viewing panels in the floor - nice! The Beach Pool Villas and interconnecting Lagoon view rooms are great for families and friends.

Dubai is known for its decadence and Anantara does offer its guests choice and variety in any aspect of their stay; however it is most certainly done with class and sophistication. Dining here is no exception to that rule; The Crescendo serves delightful international cuisine with ocean views in an al fresco setting by the infinity swimming pool. The Mekong restaurant creates excellent Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine while rickshaw-style seating and oriental tables surround you with an authentic Asian flair. The Beach House is a laid back dining and entertainment spot serving Mediterranean cuisine both inside and on the outdoor terrace, with views of the glittering Dubai shoreline. In the evenings the terrace transforms into a lounge accompanied by the resident's DJ tunes. The Lotus Lounge is great for night and day, serving different blends of tea, cakes, pastries and carefully selected tobacco from around the world accompanied by soothing live music. For something a little refreshing, the swim-up Mai Bar serves a selection of exotic cocktails and light snacks. There are also private dining options available at the beach, pool or on your room's terrace.

The Anantara Spa invites you to unwind in a haven of harmony, peace and tranquillity. A signature selection of spa treatments, bathing rituals and a Hamman will contribute to your inner and outer well-being and the 50- metre infinity pool is perfect for a leisurely swim. If you can drag yourself away from the spa, there is a stunning 400-metre long private beach for various leisure activities, sunbathing and watching the sun melt into the horizon. For the sporty types among you, there are tennis courts and beach volleyball fields available whilst a Teens and Kids Club offers a safe environment for the younger guests to socialise and play.

There are plenty of opportunities to explore the area outside this secluded manmade paradise too. Experience a dune safari through the desert, with a camel ride and an Arabian themed meal thrown in for good measures. A city tour will give you an insight into the traditional side of Dubai as well as its multi-faceted metropolis appearance. The Dubai Mall, the Mall of Emirates and the Dubai Marina Mall are all musts for shopping enthusiasts. Have afternoon tea in the Burj Khalifa, the highest building in the world, providing stunning views of the city, ocean and desert.
