Our Scotland travel blog

Our Favourite Experiences

Whilst all our trips are completely bespoke, we do have certain experiences which prove most popular with families, couples and groups! Here below is a (small) selection of our best experiences across the UK & Ireland.

Scotland from the Sea

To quote Princess Anne 'sailing on a sunny day in Scotland is the nearest thing to heaven anyone will ever get on this earth…' and I couldn't say it better myself. Scotland has some of the best scenery and wildlife in the world and I was lucky enough to experience it all… by sea.

Walking Tours

Enjoying a half day with an accredited guide is the perfect way to begin your holiday, wherever you are visiting. Wander through the local area and get your bearings as you explore quaint corners and undiscovered gems - learn how to 'live like a local' with fascinating tales and histories thrown in for good measure! Our guides are all hand-picked to ensure the perfect fit, with specialities ranging from family friendly guides to art historians, well-known chefs and leading genealogists, we can tailor-make all walking tours to suit any interests. Here below are a selection of our favourite half day tours:

Last Minute Merchant

Whoever said 'failure to prepare is preparation for failure' clearly never experienced the thrill of being spontaneous. While it's all very commendable to plan things months and years in advance, sometimes it's just wonderfully liberating to make a snap decision. Never more so than with planning holidays. Luckily we know the best of last minute availability around the UK & Ireland for anyone who has yet to book their trip and with the pound still weak against the dollar there is no better time to book!

Fantastic Films

Guy Ritchie's new film, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword has its anticipated release this week and whether it's a huge success or a box office flop, one thing is for sure, the rugged Scottish and English scenery where it was filmed will certainly get pulses racing. From the Isle of Skye in Scotland to Tintagel Castle in Cornwall, the epic landscapes and historic locations show off the best of Great Britain. This got us thinking about our favourite films and TV shows set across the UK & Ireland and where is best to soak up the cinematic scenes:

Far from the madding crowd

Need to get away from it all? Look no further than our secluded spots, hidden havens and rural retreats perfect for any family, couple or group looking to get away from the crowds.
