A City Break in Lisbon

Itinerary Highlights

  • Arriving in Lisbon, make your way to Bairro Alto via private transfer. The hotel is located in the district from which it takes its name, Bairro Alto, which has been the vibrant epicentre of bohemian living since the 16th century. As soon as you have settled into your hotel you will be greeted by your local guide for the afternoon. Head out into the sunshine for a walking tour with a difference - your guide will have pre-planned activities based on your personal interests and you'll feel like a Lisbonite in no time. This evening we will have make a reservation for you at one of Lisbon's finest sea food restaurants and you can sample some of Portugal's hugely underrated wine.
  • Wake-up this morning and spend the morning at leisure, or why not hunt down the very best pastel de nata? Top tip: our Portugese travel experts have sampled so many custard tarts that they will be happy to give you a run-down of the city's best. Don't forget your camera today because Lisbon's architecture and café culture is a photographer's dream. Whether you are a beginner or a semi-pro, we will organise a professional photographer to guide you round the city's best photography spots. This evening we will have reserved a table for you at Bairro Alto's own restaurant, Flores do Bairro. A favourite amongst locals, the restaurant is a genuine "bairro" kitchen, and is a hub for people watching.
  • On your final day, we highly recommend making the most of Lisbon's river side location and cruising up the river Tagus. We can book the yacht to sale in the early evening and you can finish your Lisbon city break in style, with a cocktail or two. Don't leave without having hopped on and off the city's antiquated yellow tram, tick off the Gothic Torre de Belem tower, and, if there's time, more of contemporary Lisbon is to be found at the striking concrete building: MUDE. The Museu de Design e da Moda, brings together over 2,000 pieces of haute couture and innovative design in the minimalist interior of a gutted bank building. Make room for one more pastel de nata at your hotel before you are met by your private driver.

A rough idea of price

A note about prices

The guide prices shown are designed to provide you with a broad indication of how much to budget for your trip. Prices are generally for private arrangements using economy flights based on two people travelling together and sharing a room.
