Hotel More is a small seafront hotel situated on the Bay of Lapad, just a couple of miles from the historic centre of Dubrovnik.
The eight-storey hotel is set into the hillside and surrounded by pine and cypress trees. The storeys get smaller on each floor with the top floor containing a single, self-contained suite. Reception is on the seventh floor, along with a cocktail bar and a terrace with great views out towards the Elaphiti Islands.
There are 34 rooms and three suites with either garden or sea views, and many with balconies. Facilities include a swimming pool on the fifth floor terrace, a gym and a health club with sauna, steambath and massages. The shoreline below the hotel is rocky so there is no sandy beach, but there is a large deck for sunbathing and swimming from.
On the ground floor, the restaurant and coffee bar lead onto another large outdoor terrace overlooking the bay. One of the highlights of the hotel, Cave bar More, can also be found at this level. A bar built in a cave, this new addition has exposed walls and serves delicious cocktails.
The old town of Dubrovnik is within easy reach by a taxi or bus ride, but the best way in is by walking along the pretty coastal path.
