An intimate and back to nature experience awaits guests at the luxurious Mashatu Tented Camp. In the heart of the wildlife rich Mashatu Game Reserve there is plenty of opportunity for game viewing too.
Just eight tents make up the camp and all are totally private and hidden amongst the braches of the bush trees. The tents themselves are spacious and comfortable with proper beds and soft cushions creating a glamping rather than camping experience. The tents are also raised from the ground on platforms and each has their own outside area at the front, which is the ideal spot to sit, relax and soak up the bush atmosphere.
The main thatched area of camp hosts the open air restaurant and lounge area, where guests can relax and dine. Alternatively, meals can also be enjoyed under the stars in the enclosed boma which overlooks the waterhole. Meals are usually taken communally at camp as guests enjoy sharing tales of the day.
Mashatu game Reserve spans a massive 29,000 hectares and offers some of the most pristine and untouched landscapes in Botswana. During morning and evening game drives, mountain bike safaris and bush walks guests will experience a wide range of wildlife including elephant, lion, cheetah, wild dog and leopard (among more). With a plunge pool on site guests can alternatively enjoy a refreshing dip between game drives or simply sit and enjoy the views from the main areas.
The shaded hide which overlooks the waterhole is the ideal spot to get some close-up snaps of the wildlife.
