The Great Karoo is the arid heartland of South Africa – a world of vast open spaces and distant horizons and the lodge is reached by a 3-hour drive from Port Elizabeth or a 45-minute flight to the reserve’s airstrip. The lodge is a colonial era homestead, situated on the malaria-free Plains of Camdeboo. There are just six guest suites, three in the main lodge building and three in nearby cottages, all decorated in an elegant colonial style.

Enjoy guided game drives and walks by day, or relax by the swimming pool and take in the stunning views. By night, enjoy delicious South African food and wines under spectacular night skies.
