Akademie Street
This wonderful and quirky guest house is full of unique character and charm, and Arthur and Katherine, the owners are delightful and really help to make guests feel at home.
Akademie Street consists of five distinct buildings that form one property in the picture perfect village of Franschhoek.
There are six rooms to choose from, including three large, modern suites around a large solar heated pool and garden, and each with its own private entrance for those looking for that extra bit of privacy. There are a further three swimming pools and shaded gardens with fountains dotted around.
If you can drag yourself away from the lovely surroundings and excellent service, the centre of the village, with its enticing restaurants, delis and shops, is a short walk away. Wineries, great golf courses, hiking, fly-fishing and riding are close by.
