Sabuk

Sabuk sleeps a maximum of twelve guests in thatched rondavels (circular cottages) dotted along the cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River.

The rondavels are open-fronted with private verandas and outstanding views over the plains of Laikipia towards Mount Kenya. Each has an en-suite bathroom with flush loos.

Activities at Sabuk include game drives or guided walking safaris accompanied by Laikipiak Maasai guides. Wildlife around Sabuk includes elephant, kudu, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard and great bird watching.

Guests can spend a night or two fly-camping in the wilderness before returning to the comforts of the lodge. Other activities include picnics by the river, swimming in the natural rock pools or the swimming pool, and night game drives.

Guests can also sleep out under the stars on huge wooden beds erected outside each rondavel.
