Getting up close and personal with the gorillas in Rwanda. it's such an incredible and privileged experience to sit within a few metres of a family of gorillas watching them play and interact with one another. Going on a 3 day skeleton coast flying safari in Namibia - a kaleidoscope of ever-changing scenery and adventure. One minute we were flying low level along the barren Skeleton Coast looking down on thousands of Cape fur seal colonies, the next we were flying 50 miles inland across wide open spaces and mountainous landscapes, touching down on make-shift runways. I even got a chance to fly the plane. Snorkelling with my 'butler' in the Maldives! It was like swimming in an aquarium - I saw Manta Rays, sharks, and thousands of beautiful coloured tropical fish. Finally, nothing beats riding in the bush - particularly on the back of an elephant in the Okavango Delta in Botswana.

Getting stuck in the swamps whilst driving the supply truck back to the camp I was working at in Botswana. This resulted in having to spend the night in the truck, freezing and surrounded by cackling hyenas...
