Climbing to the top of the central tower of Angkor Wat, looking out for miles over the surrounding forest and countryside dotted with various crumbling temples. Taking a dawn hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia in Turkey – incredible! Seeing a whale shark when diving off Lankayan island in Borneo – easily the best diving experience of my life. Then there was the early morning skydive over Lake Taupo in New Zealand.

Taking the boat service between Luang Prabang and the Thai Border; the slow option takes two full days and seating consists of uncomfortable wooden planks; the fast boat is best described as a 'tin can on water' getting up to breakneck speeds and often risking life and limb. Also, never again will I put myself through the terror of a bungy jump, especially not a 400ft one into a gorge in New Zealand!
