Original Travel is the exclusive travel partner of the highly successful Dive in Style coffee table book published by Thames & Hudson (50,000 copies sold to date). Dive in Style focuses on 26 of the world’s most stylish and luxurious destinations which offer access to some of the worlds very best diving. Original Travel’s client based market research has indicated that in the same way as high-end hotels now fully embrace spas as an essential element, the same pattern is beginning to emerge with diving as its appeal continues to spread in the luxury end of the market. Remarkably, whilst there are dozens of spa books linking luxury hotels and spas, Dive in Style is still the only publication linking luxury hotels and diving, indeed any hotels and diving. Numbers of divers have soared (currently 15m active divers, increasing by 1m per annum) and consequently so has the money flowing into the sport. The book has been published in six languages and distributed in Europe, USA, Africa and Australasia. Given the far-flung nature and complexity of travelling to these destinations, Dive in Style has teamed up with Original Travel in order that readers should also be offered a booking service. Original Travel has been involved with the author in the planning of the destinations from the start and has unique access to him for further information.
The opportunity
As we approach the launch of the second book, Original Travel and the author of Dive in Style have decided to recruit a new member of its team solely dedicated to Dive in Style. In effect this person will be running their own mini business within Original Travel and consequently this position offers excellent prospects. If other similar ventures embarked on by Original Travel are anything to go by, this dive arm of Original Travel has the potential to develop into a £1m+ business generating profits in excess of £250k over the next 18 months. The successful candidate will be passionate about diving and qualified to PADI Advanced Open Water standard, be highly organised, driven and have the energy both to market this business but also to sell to clients enquiring about diving holidays. Candidates should be able to accept legal employment in the UK.
Deadline for application

Within 2 weeks of this deadline passing, applicants will hear from Original Travel as to whether they will be invited in for interview. There will likely be two rounds of interview. It is expected that employment will start at the beginning of April 2010.
