Evason Ma'in Hot Springs & Six Senses Spa
At 860ft below sea level, the Evason Ma’in Hot Springs is surrounded by spectacular mountain landscapes and natural hot springs just a short drive from the Dead Sea, the single lowest place on the planet.
The hotel is designed as an elegant retreat, complete with a wide range of pampering treatments, many of which incorporate the benefits of the Ma’in hot springs themselves. There are 95 rooms and suites decorated with natural materials in a local style with showers (some of the suites have baths) and balconies with views of the hot springs. Dining options vary from an excellent Arab speciality restaurant to dinners or lunches in a Bedouin tent in the valley. There are also four bars dotted around the property, including a pool bar, an open-air bar by a roaring fire and a sheesha (hubbly-bubbly) bar where guests can enjoy a drink and smoke fragrant tobacco Middle Eastern-style. The spa’s treatments focus on the therapeutic properties of the mineral-rich waters of the area. There is also a natural steam cave, heated by the hot springs. Finally, there is a large infinity pool and library where guests can relax between pampering and excursions to nearby attractions such as the Dead Sea. Nearer to the hotel there is a 50 year old olive tree that guests can visit as part of a session explaining how to make olive oil, a key Jordanian export.
