Pyramids & the Red Sea
Egypt
Still one of the classic destinations, Egypt is a long-standing Original Travel favourite. Cairo may be a little on the hectic side, but with good hotels and the Pyramids of Giza, it’s well worth exploration
We have access to expert guides who can explain the mysteries and construction of the Pyramids, the last remaining ancient wonder of the world.
After staying in Cairo, transfer to the Red Sea coast at Sharm el Sheikh or Hurghada for all but guaranteed sunshine and superb diving on the wrecks and reefs of the Red Sea. Stay in one of the best five star hotels, all of which we have visited, or extend the diving possibilities by staying on a luxurious 80-foot liveaboard boat, diving some of the Red Sea’s more remote sites.
Red Sea diving offers a range of possibilities – shallow coral gardens, historic wrecks and steep drop-offs. The warm waters around the living reefs are teeming with marine life and there is such abundant diving in the Red Sea that no dive sites need ever be repeated in one stay. We can arrange all your diving needs in advance, from PADI courses and certification to liveaboard trips.
