Nicaragua

We love Central America. Sorry for that little outburst but it’s true. What started with a crush on that classic destination Costa Rica is now a fully fledged love affair with what this region, from Guatemala to Panama, has to offer. New favourite Nicaragua, bordered by Honduras to the north and Costa Rica to the south, is the largest country in the region and famous for its natural attractions including comic book conical volcanoes, tropical forests and the ‘inland sea’ of Lake Nicaragua.

Close to 20% of the country's territory is set aside as protected areas, and like the rest of Central America the country contains a disproportionate percentage of the world’s biodiversity.
