Private Hire Brazil, Costa Verde & Bahia
Brazil
Brazil’s enormous and beautiful coastline is home to some truly spectacular properties that lend themselves perfectly to exclusive hire, and to the ultimate group beach holiday
Take one of our favourite properties in the south or the north of the country and enjoy privacy, exclusivity, and home-from-home comforts and facilities.
Two hours’ flight north-east of Rio, the state of Bahia is known as ‘the land of the drum’. It is one of the most historic regions of Brazil, with a number of important cultural attractions, as well as endless miles of beautiful coastline.
On the Bahian coast, Trancoso is fast becoming one the hippest beach destinations in South America, attracting celebrities aplenty. The village overlooks perfect palm-fringed beaches and colourful former slave houses cluster around the large main square known as the Quadrado, where everyone gathers to sip caipirinhas and browse in the antique shops, boutiques and local stalls. The atmosphere is one of sophisticated relaxation and flip-flops (havaianas, naturally), linen shirts and kaftans are the order of the day.
South of Rio stretches the lush Green Coast, with Paraty offering beachside relaxation between the two thrilling cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Paraty has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its well preserved colonial architecture. The cobbled streets are a delight to wander around, as are the boutique shops, fine restaurants and bars, some of the best in Brazil. We recommend two properties here; one in the centre of the town, and the other just five minutes’ walk away. Choosing a villa here is especially good for families, as there are no internal flights needed, and the transfer from the international Sao Paulo or Rio arrival flight is just a couple of hours.
