Embiara Lodge
Located in the Pantanal, the largest wetlands of South America, Embiara Lodge is a small boutique eco lodge,
With just 3 rooms and accommodating up to 6 people, it gives you the chance to explore the Pantanal with a private guide. The homestead is built on an outlet next to the Rio Negro River, with a healthy population of Caymans, Giant Otters, Capybaras and Tapir’s and occasionally a jaguar.
You will have the chance to enjoy full day excursions with the cowboys to experience a working farm, nature explorations, fly-fishing, bird watching, horse riding, game drives and boat rides. All the food is cooked by a local chef and meals are enjoyed together in the main lodge. The lodge is very cosy and has the feel of a private farm, where you enjoy being hosted by excellent and knowledgeable guides.
There are many activities to enjoy and this is a great place for active people, giving you the chance to really explore this vast and fascinating National Park. The vegetation is considered a combination of a Brazilian savannah and the Amazon rainforest, depending on the time of year; it flourishes with luscious flowers or the water evaporates and is left dry, perfect for animal and bird spotting. Among these animals to observe is the largest concentration of crocodiles in the world.
