Copacabana Palace
This traditional style hotel has a neoclassical façade and is a famous icon on Copacabana beach.
Originally opened in 1923, this impressive property is often described as Rio’s most traditional and luxurious hotel; there is nowhere like the (fondly known) Cop Palace for its service and the element of old style grandeur.
The location is also second to none as it is minutes from the centre of Rio and sits right beside on Copacabana beach. The 226 bedrooms and suites are tastefully decorated and situated in the main building and tower wing.
The hotel also boasts a wonderful large outdoor pool, new spa and a couple of great restaurants, including the Cipriani, which is one of the best places to eat in the city.
