Yacutinga Lodge
Yacutinga Lodge is located in a private Wildlife Nature Reserve in the heart of the Argentine rainforest surrounded by the Iguazú National Park.
A pristine area of subtropical rainforest which covers 650,000 acres of protected rainforest shared by Brazil and Argentina and known as the “green corridor”. This region consists of large rivers, humid tropics, red soil and bright green jungle, and is full of giant ancient trees, endemic flora and a large presence of wild fauna.
Yacutinga Wildlife & Nature Reserve still maintains richness in biodiversity, far away from mass tourism. Guests can enjoy a variety of out-door activities focused on soft adventure and Eco-tourism encompassing canoeing, biking, bird watching and walking.
The lodge was built to compliment the surrounding terrain, and is constructed from native materials such as local stone and wood from fallen trees. The main building houses the restaurant and sitting room and is surrounded by a Palmetto stand, which is an endangered species endemic to this area. The bar is next door where the lodge’s naturalist guides gather in front of the large fireplace to meet guests before excursions.
Yacutinga’s guest rooms consist of independent lodges which are dispersed throughout the forest surrounding the main lodge. Each lodge consists of four rustically styled rooms, each with private bathroom and forest views. An irregular shaped swimming pool is situated in the garden where guests can unwind after an adventure packed day.
