Estancia El Rocio
Estancia El Rocio is a 400-acre ranch in the Argentine Pampas, sixty miles from Buenos Aires.
The five very comfortable guestrooms (one of which is a loft room that can sleep four) are housed in an attractive Provençal-inspired building, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The cosy interiors include a library and DVD room, WiFi internet access, an honesty bar and open fireplaces in the cooler months.
The stables offer horse riding for riders of all levels, which is a great way to explore the wide open landscapes of the Pampas. Other activities include bike rides and horse-drawn carriage rides, and there is golf and excellent birdwatching nearby.
Alternatively, you can just relax by the pool, laze in a hammock or enjoy a massage. Food at El Rocio is excellent and includes both international cuisine and regional fare such as traditional Argentine barbecues.
