Original Thinking

Half the charm of the expedition will be the experience to sail with Martin Westcott or his cousin Robin (also hugely experienced in the area), who has sailed the globe's most challenging and difficult seas and has published the biography of his three-year adventure around the world, “Shangrila”.

Sailing the Patagonian fjords

Chile

This is a one-of-a-kind voyage in a private yacht, run by the Westcott family, renowned for more than 30 years of sailing experience around the Guaitecas Archipelago in Patagonia.

The small, family-run operation offers a 7-day sailing experience from November to March in the classic wooden Noctiluca, built in 2007. Guests have the chance to enjoy some of the world’s best fly-fishing and to explore the wilderness and tranquility of this little-known region; a time capsule of long-ago Patagonia.

This is a one-of-a-kind voyage in a fully-equipped 6/8-passenger yacht that sails to remote islands that main-stream cruise ships cannot access.

The flexible program is tailor-designed to accommodate the tastes and interests of each group and includes a stay at Hacienda Quitralco, the Westcott family’s 16,000-acre farm, where guests can enjoy fly-fishing, horseback riding, bird watching, rodeo, or soak in a natural hot spring.

Sail in comfort while exploring little-known islands, tiny fishing villages, the Puyuhuapi Hot Springs & Spa, Hacienda Quitralco, and the San Rafael Glacier, as well as some amazing spots that the Westcott family have kept secret — until now.
