Horse riding at dusk through the Kalahari wilderness of Tswalu with the sun glittering on the long savannah grass and endless red sand dunes and a never-ending horizon in front of us - breathtaking! Hiring a boat for the day and pottering around the Caribbean island of Anguilla stopping for a spot of snorkelling, a delicious BBQ lobster lunch on Scilly Cay and then finishing up with the Sunday Jazz sessions at Jonnos bar at Sandy Ground. Watching the sunset from the top of a sand dune in the Empty Quarter of Oman, the largest dune desert in the world. It was one of the most peaceful experiences and totally mesmerising.

Setting out on your own to shop in the Marrakech souqs, the experience is a lot more rewarding with a guide or personal shopper. They get you away from the tourist spots and deeper into the really authentic souq where you can see carpets being made and enable you to browse without being hassled!
