Era Beach

This luxurious boutique hotel consists of two elegantly refurbished colonial bungalows, which now house the main restaurant and lounge bar, and an additional two-storey section containing eight suites.

Four suites are located on the ground floor and open out onto the garden which is dotted with palm trees and features a 70 ft salt water swimming pool; its extensive granite deck is ideal for relaxing and taking in the sun. The gardens lead out to a sandy beach where swimming is possible from November to February.

Four more suites are situated on the upper floor and boast spectacular sea views. All the rooms are stylishly furnished with four poster beds dressed in fine linen and open out onto a courtyard or balcony.

The restaurant serves a range of dishes with a Mediterranean/Asian influence prepared with fresh seafood bought daily from local fisherman and other locally purchased produce. The Lounge Bar serves a full range of drinks and tapas-style snacks.

There are a number of spa treatments on offer at Era Beach including relaxing massages. Era Beach has its own library, and wifi can be accessed throughout the entire property. Activities close to the hotel include swimming, snorkelling and surfing at the nearby beaches of Unawatuna and Mirissa. Guests can also go sailing, fishing or sea kayaking, and the river and boat trips close by are a must. Dolphin and whale watching is available from December to April.
